Before the pandemic our Parish Mission in 2019 brought people from all five areas and there was a great sense of community, where people got to meet others whom they may not have known before.

Fr Oliver’s 25th Anniversary of his Ordination took place on 28th June 2019. Replicas representing each of the five Church areas were presented to our Diocesan Bishop Tom Deenahan, Bishop of Meath.

2022 saw the retirement of Fr Jerry Murphy, who served Tang for 17 years. We thank him for his service and wish him well in his retirement. We also welcomed Fr Godwin Atede, from Nigeria. Who is based in Tang and assists Fr Oliver throughout the Parishes.

Final word of thanks: Fr Oliver thanks all who prayed for him, got Masses said and helped in very practical ways before and after his operation in August 2020 and through his recent illness. He is thankful to all Clergy and Laity who helped out during the Covid Pandemic. Now that the pandemic has subsided we can get back to the active mission of living and spreading the Good News of Gods Salvation and pray for all people and our eternal souls.

We appreciate your interest and involvement in The Mission of Jesus Christ, to all who are open and in need of his call of continual conversion and desire to live by his word despite our own human frailty.

As we rely on God’s grace brought to us in the living and preaching of his work and in the Sacraments of his Church.
